[Feature] Anbernic Handhelds - rg40xx, rg35xx, rg28xx, rg cubexx and rg34xx Support #7
Comments
As long as they are arm64 I think I can compile it easy. Is MinUI available on those platforms too? I don't have the cube but I do have an rg40xxv |
Awesome, I also have the rg40xxv. Great device |
I'm not sure if this is feasible or not but would it make sense to use Rocknix or MuOS as a base OS image with MinUI on top. The original developer did something like this using JelOS as the base to allow MinUI to run other devices. This would solve the issue of easily just flashing an image to an MiccroSD card. This seems to possibly make sense for at least the H700 Devices. |
MinUI actually already runs over the stock OS in reality it's just a Menu GUI and an emulator frontend. But it's not an actual OS. It's the emulator frontend where it can get kinda tricky. I can run builds for them but other people would need to see if they actually run in this case |
ah that makes sense, thank you for explaining that so well. I guess where I was getting at was to create a minui image so people could download and easily just image it on their sd card, like it already includes the base and the extras and the whole OS. |
Rocknix works quite well as a base OS, I'm currently running my MinUI fork on a Powkiddy V10 on top of Rocknix without issues. |
Support for the following popular Anbernic H700 based CPU handhelds rg40xx, rg35xx, rg28xx, rg cubexx and rg34xx series
Although I mainly use rg cubexx and the TrimUI Brick
