Currently very large TOCs can't be fully displayed due to being "CSS sticky".

Making menu items collapsible solves this issue.

check my solution here

it is not perfect but do not require a lot of code nor dependency beside jQuery. it is a patch on misery if the TOC can not be scroll up and down. if the page is big enough even being collapsible is not enough, see here

Thanks for the suggestion, but I won't add the huge toolset that is jQuery to this theme. I'm sure there are easier ways to do that in 2024.
