Ath5k has packet injection but can't work with OWL #61
Comments
Hey ! I searched for the active monitor mode a lot, and I tried to find an adapter that support it. I found a GitHub that is very well maintained and I discussed the issue with the owner. Here is a link for the discussion that can help you find an adapter that will work for you. thanks to him, we now have a very modern device list that will work with OWL. |
Update |
Hi !
For me too it did not work at first so I can explain how I made it work
You have to open two terminal, one with owl that will activate a card in monitor mode
And the other one will have the opendrop find command.
Opendrop find is the one scanning the network to find a device to send to. If it doesn’t work, you can try « activating » your Apple device with another one, try sending something through Airdrop

Update
The problem is owl can't find any peer when I activate the owl
I use the -v argument
And no new peer found
Unlike other wifi cards that don't support active packet injection?
