Is Steam using a version of BBCode? If so, I think pointing this out would be a good idea.

Thanks for finding this! It definitely looks very similar, and it could be that Steam using a form of, or at least a language very similar to, BBCode.

I wouldn't consider this "basic info" for this project, though, so I'd put it in a "more info" doc 🤔

Going through my old issues:

If you're interested in making a PR, I think in the README, where it says "Steam's markup" it can say "Steam's BBCode-like markup". I'd just say that once in the short description, since it would get repetitive to put everywhere.
