I am a lecturer in Department of CS of Oxford University, with PhD in pure mathemathcs, and many publications.

Here I mainly work -- often in my spare time -- on developing and maintaining open-source computer algebra and numerics software, such as SageMath and its packages, in particular GAP, Singular, SciPy, and a number of other libraries, mostly written in C/C++, Python, Fortran (and even a bit of Lisp).

Sometimes I write shell scripts, m4 scripts for Autotools, and a bit of cmake. I know too much about git, and sometimes do bits with GitHub's Actions.

This will offset extra costs of subscriptions to various IT services, very fast internet at home, hardware wear and tear I use for work here.
