Swarmlet is a learning project, aimed at developers who'd like to experiment with a multi-server setup - capable of hosting and deploying apps with ease.

Who is the author?

Hi! I'm Tjerk Woudsma, a creative developer from The Netherlands. I'm tall, I like cheese, but I do prefer pasta over potatoes (and beer over wine). Graduated as a designer, but I sold my soul to programming years before graduating. Currently living in Amsterdam and working for Passionate People, a Javascript consultancy company working with innovative clients such as ING, G-Star RAW and Booking.com. Before moving on to consulting, I worked with the awesome, sweet and world-famous team of Studio Moniker. Also I've worked as a coding teacher for graphic design students at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague, which contributes to why a main goal of this project is learning, and keeping the learning gradual instead of steep.

What does he do?

In my spare time I'm either doing something with music - I love DJ'ing and jamming with drumcomputers - or I'm working on "Weekend Projects".

"Weekend Projects" - A never-ending list of things/projects that need finishing.

What needs to happen?

Swarmlet is one of those projects, but unlike many ideas that stay hidden as private repo's, I wanted this project to succeed with the help of others. The only way of doing that is to make it public, keep requesting feedback, and keep spending time on it. Being friendly. Staying agile and looking outwards and ahead, especially in the early stages. Keeping junior developers in mind, the Swarmlet documentation should stay very easy to follow so anyone can learn using examples and extensive guides and tutorials.
