Feature request: Make 2FAS available on Macs with Apple silicon #36
Comments
It is in the making. See: #18 |
Of course I looked, wether there was already an open issue about this. But since #18 is closed... In my understanding issues should only be closed when they are solved and not when a developer has ackowledged them. |
Please also for Intel, back at least to Mojave 10.14.6 for greatest compatibility, especially as other apps have shown there's no intrinsic need for a TOTP app to be incompatible with older OS versions. That's the only thing keeping me from being able to finally get rid of Authy for this: the idea that if I misplaced my phone, I'd be locked out of all the websites I need to access on my desktop. This otherwise looks all-around like the perfect TOTP app... but requiring my phone to use is unfortunately a dealkiller for me. I hope I'll see a desktop version for 10.14.6 within a few months, I think with that missing piece you can corner the market on TOTP apps across all Apple devices. Everything single other one has shortcomings that you've managed to avoid. |
I'd like to see this too. It's great that a native MacOS app is being worked on in #18, but in the meantime, can you make the iPad version available to download in the Mac App Store for those of us with M1 and M2 chips? |
Given we're on the third generation of Apple Silicon macs this should be a no brainer. Raivo does it, but I'd prefer to use 2Fas. Only thing stopping me switching. Little strange #18 was marked as completed. Browser extensions are fine but you can't blacklist copy/paste from a browser extension + not all our uses are browser based. Allowing the iOS app as a stop gap would be a huge boost to 2fas as everyone is suddenly switching due to the Authy EoL (though, they too are allowing their iOS app on Apple Silicon Macs). Thank you for the great product you've built, please let us use it! 😄 |
Most apps I bought for iOS show up in the app store on a Mac with Apple silicon. 2FAS does not.
Please make 2FAS available on Apple silicon if the account already has installed 2FAS on an iDevice.
