No HiDPI option for one monitor in dual monitor setup with DisplayLink

I have a MacBook Air M1 updated to MacOS 14 (Sonoma) that is connected to a Dell UD22 dock (DisplayLink) and two Lenovo P24h-10 2k 60hz monitors. I am also running BetterDisplay 2.0.11. One monitor is connected via DP alt mode, and the other is connected via DisplayPort. My main monitor that is connected via DP alt mode has HiDPI enabled and is scaled to 1920x1080. The other monitor connected to DisplayPort does not have any HiDPI modes available. In the previous versions of BetterDisplay 1.4, I was able to get HiDPI modes on both monitors. I'm sure I'm just doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I believe I may have found a solution. Though I'm not sure this is the ideal way to handle this situation.
I created a virtual screen for the monitor connected via DisplayPort and it now displays in HiDPI scaled 1920x1080. However, when I lock my screen to step away from my desk when I unlock all windows will be collected on my main screen. This didn't happen in the previous version of BetterDisplay.
Thank you again for this wonderful software that helps enable scaling on 2k monitors. Without it, my monitors would be useless!

Hi @Sneakers82 - unfortunately "smooth scaling" does not work on DisplayLink connected devices (these are treated as virtual screens by the OS) so you can only use virtual screen mirroring or streaming (the later is better for DisplayLink devices according to other DisplayLink users). The displays collecting to the main screen usually happens if a display is not available upon wake yet - but it's a difficult to pin-down issue to be honest as these things are managed by the window server (macOS component) and not by the app.

Thanks, streaming does look better and solved my other issue of everything collecting to one monitor after locking my screen!
However, with streaming, I have 3 screens available but only two usable screens. Is there a way to "Hide" a screen?

Unfortunately not. Planning to add an option to prevent the mouse from wandering over in a future update. #1442

I had 1 monitor with better display and could select hidpi now with 2 monitors I needed display link and cant select hidpi anymore

Hi there - with DisplayLink you need the DisplayLink app to provide HiDPI resolutions as it can manage the display.
