Introduction and Interest in GSoC Projects

Thank you for your guidance on moving this conversation to the Discussions tab! I’m excited to participate in the GSoC discussions and contribute to the project.

Quick Note: My GitHub account was temporarily flagged by the spam detection system after I tried to post this message earlier. Thankfully, the issue has been resolved, and I’m looking forward to engaging with the community!

About Me

• Name: Abhishek Dimri
• Background: I’m a third-year B.Tech CSE student at DIT University, Dehradun, India.
• Skills: Proficient in Python, Data Structures & Algorithms, and web development. I’m currently learning PyTorch and have a strong interest in machine learning and deep learning.
• Interests: I’m passionate about ML/DL applications in real-world projects, data analysis, and building efficient workflows for solving practical problems.

Project Interest

I’ve gone through the project list, and all the proposals look incredibly interesting! However, I’m particularly drawn to Proposal 1: Efficient Detection of Unique Images from Overlapping Images because of its focus on developing an efficient algorithm for real-world image analysis, which aligns well with my interest in ML/DL applications.

That said, I’m still exploring the other projects (Proposals 2, 3, and 4) to better understand their scope and requirements. I’d love to hear your thoughts on which project might be the best fit for my skills and interests.

Next Steps

As you mentioned, I’ll wait for the updated project list early next week to finalize my decision. Additionally, I wanted to mention that I have mid-term exams until March 5th, after which I’ll be able to dedicate my full focus to the project.
