It won't find my flash drive #10
Comments
That's probably due to the way in which Android mounts flash drives. In particular, the fact that there's not a consistent mount point for all versions/manufacturers. See the "Important note" section of the readme. The mount directory should really be selectable at first launch instead of being hardcoded at compile time. |
I cannot find my Nexus 7 mount directory. Also I don't get the mount directory. |
What do you mean by "I don't get the mount directory"? As for the Nexus 7, it looks like you need root for a USB drive to work properly: http://m.androidcentral.com/how-use-your-usb-flash-drives-nexus-7-root. Are you rooted? |
The newer Android versions have proper support for USB OTG. You tell me mount directory should be selectable at launch but it isn't. |
The info in the readme still holds: it's still hardcoded. By "should really be", I meant that's an enhancement I'd like to add in the future. It isn't currently implemented. |
@MrSkeletal123 If you are still trying this, and are on a device running Android 5 Lollipop or newer, try the latest master. Now that Lollipop and newer use the newer storage framework, it should properly detect your flashdrive. |
The drive is connected and the tablet sees it. Its a Kingston Datatraveler G4 32GB. Keeps telling me to give a preconfigured flash drive. I do and it doesn't recognize.
