3. Data Flow

3.1. Write Operation (Detailed)

  1. Client Write Request: The client application initiates a write operation (e.g., Put(key, value), Delete(key)) through the LevelDB API.
  2. Write-Ahead Logging (WAL): For durability, the write operation is immediately serialized and appended to the Write-Ahead Log (WAL) file on disk. This write to the WAL is typically synchronous to ensure that the operation is durably recorded before proceeding.
