Deep Security Analysis of Korge Game Engine

1. Objective, Scope, and Methodology

Objective:

This deep security analysis aims to identify and evaluate potential security vulnerabilities within the Korge game engine (https://github.com/korlibs/korge). The analysis will primarily focus on the security of the Korge engine itself and its direct components. Server-side components or online game features are explicitly out of scope, as per the assumptions in the security design review.

Methodology:

This analysis will employ a combination of:

  1. Security Design Review Analysis: Leveraging the provided security design review document to understand the business and security posture, existing and recommended controls, security requirements, and architectural diagrams.
  2. Architecture and Data Flow Inference: Based on the C4 diagrams, component descriptions, and publicly available information about Korge (GitHub repository, documentation), we will infer the architecture, component interactions, and data flow within the engine.

  5. Mitigation Strategy Development: For each identified threat, we will develop specific, actionable, and Korge-tailored mitigation strategies that can be implemented by the Korge development team. These strategies will align with the recommended security controls in the design review.

2. Security Implications of Key Components
