Windows compilation error

Hi, I've rebased onto the latest Zephyr commit (8b80c20) and I'm encountering compilation errors related to YAML and JSON escaping that I've never seen before.

Can someone help me debug this?

@ofirshe if you can run: west build -b mimxrt1060_evk -- --trace-expand 2> cmake.trace and attach the cmake.trace file to this conversation, then that will be very helpful.
