Installation and configuration of mainframe products often involve multiple roles, encompassing security, storage, networking, and general sysprog responsibilities. Zowe is no exception to this. Consequently, it becomes imperative to provide individuals responsible for installing Zowe with a comprehensive view of all the essential steps and prerequisites for a successful installation.
There are, at the very least, two viable approaches to implementing this. The first approach entails grouping all variables and tasks by role in a centralized location, perhaps on the initial screen of ZEN. This way, each role can readily discern their specific requirements. Ideally, this process could be automated, with all pertinent metadata stored in a schema file. The second option, which has already been designed in the user interface, is to maintain the same structure, but rather than executing changes on the mainframe, ZEN would mimic this behavior only.
