Google Sign-in misbehavior

When users click on an email address during web authentication, an "Open With" dialog appears, prompting them to open email apps instead of proceeding with authentication. This happens on the first click but works fine on the second click.

My Testing device - Samsung J7 prime (8.1 oreo)

Impact: lacks user experience with unnecessary pop-ups.

Thanks for the report. Can you describe step by step what you did that produced this result?

Especially helpful would be a screenshot of the step just before that unexpected prompt appears.

Now it seem fine, Few days before I initially downloaded and tried to login using google sign-in, then it gave me this behavior.
Anyway, I would love to work with you guys as Gsoc contributor,
