Multi-girders and spans #40
Comments
@Dimitrios-astra you're right. @PaolaCostanzaMiglietta I've only got 20 and 30 for the span for the multi. |
Re: @Dimitrios-astra's very important point, in lack of targeted data at the moment (but keeping the possibility open for the future) I would suggest to say as Dimitrios proposes, i.e. to increase the allowed span to 40m and to keep prompting the values for 30m span. @guilbep Is it possible? thank you for all these last minute changes 😃 |
@PaolaCostanzaMiglietta Do you mean, the user will be able to go up to 40m, but we will use 30m span ? |
@guilbep probably yes, but hold on. Final discussion still happening as we speak. |

@guilbep I know it's last minute, but would it be possible to implement these following changes for the transversal verification only:
|
Please check the variation of the span for the multi girders. Actually it looks like it is between 20 and 30. I am aware that for quite a lot of bridges with such a section (multi-girders) the spans is quite often close to 34 which was a very economic choice in the seventies and eighties. It would be a pity if we do not have values for spans up to 40. @PaolaCostanzaMiglietta could you check with Alain if we may cover the span up to 40 m with the results of those of 30 m ? Thanks in advance.
