Diving "a little too deep" as I work on another Ansible Module for Phillips Hue, I wanted an "easy" way to determine a host's IP address, which is on a largely disconnected subnet. Considering this is in the
ansible-examplesrepository, I went down the rabbit hole to find your code, for this one.In any case, I filed a more-basic merge request for them, as well (PR #319). This has been a bit more flushed out, here.
