In this prototype, you control a kart with arcade physics and responsive movement. Accelerate, steer, jump, and adapt to slopes while maintaining speed and stability. The kart also features air control mechanics, allowing players to adjust their trajectory mid-air for smoother landings.
The project began as an adaptation of the GamesPlusJames tutorial, which provided a foundation for basic movement. I extended it by adding features such as air control and refined slope handling to make the gameplay feel smoother and more fun.
This prototype gave me the chance to dive into the mechanics of kart racing games, allowing me to expand it with my own ideas while focusing on making the gameplay feel smooth, responsive, and, most importantly, fun.
