GCRCatalogs v1.4.0 includes updated truth catalogs for both DESC internal use and public release (@JoanneBogart @jchiang87 @yymao @heather999). In addition, redmagic catalogs for cosmoDC2 and DC2 are available for DESC internal use (@erykoff). See below for a complete list.

New/updated catalogs for DESC internal use

Truth catalogs

  • dc2_run2.2i_truth_galaxy_summary: points to v1.0.0
  • dc2_run2.2i_truth_sn_summary: points to v1.0.0
  • dc2_run2.2i_truth_sn_variability: points to v1.0.0
  • dc2_run2.2i_truth_star_summary: points to v1.0.0
  • dc2_run2.2i_truth_star_variability: points to v1.0.0
  • dc2_run2.2i_truth_merged_summary: points to v1.0.0
  • dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons_v1
  • dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons_v2

Note that the catalogs that start with dc2_run2.2i_truth_ are intended to replace existing catalogs that start with dc2_truth_run2.2i_. See the deprecated catalogs section for details.

People who are using dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons should test their code with dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons_v2, because in the future, the former will point to the latter. If you need the columns that are only available in the current version of dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons, switch to using dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons_v1 in your code.

  • dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons will point to dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons_v2 in the future, please update your code accordingly. If you need the columns that are only available in dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons, switch to using dc2_object_run2.2i_dr6_v2_with_addons_v1.
