Laravel Permissions

A Laravel permissions bundle that uses keys rather than roles

NOTE: If you require and/or feel like roles may be better for you, I suggest you check out Zizaco/Entrust

Installation

There is an extra step required to install this package, that is the migration. To get started, run:

$ php artisan permissions:migration

This command has optional parameters, they are:

  • auth: The auth table, E.G: users.
  • table: The permissions table name you desire, E.G: permissions.
  • pivot: The pivot table name you desire, E.G: permission_user.

Composer setup

In the require key of composer.json file add the following

"connorvg/laravel-permissions": "dev-master"

Run the Composer update comand

$ composer update

Laravel

If you're using laravel, add this service provider:

'ConnorVG\Permissions\PermissionsServiceProvider'

Also, this Facade:

'Permissions' => 'ConnorVG\Permissions\PermissionsFacade'
