The CHPC's flagship human capital development program: the Student Cluster Competition is in flight mode with selections being completed for participation in the Selection Round to be held at NMU in Gqeberha, 7-13 Jul 2024. This year we had 198 applications from 13 institutions from which 80 (in-person) and 40 (online) candidates were selected namely:

• Cape Peninsula University of Technology, (1 in-person),
• Central University of Technology, (2 in-person, 1 online),
• Khulisa Academy, (2 in-person),
• Sefako Makgatho Health Sciences University, (2 in-person, 1 online),
• Sol Plaatje University, (2 in-person, 2 online),
• Tshwane University of Technology, (1 in-person, 1 online),
• University of Cape Town, (1 in-person),
• University of Fort Hare, (1 in-person),
• University of Limpopo, (1 in-person, 2 online),
• University of South Africa, (1 in-person),
• The University of the Western Cape, (2 in-person),
• University of the Witwatersrand, (2 in-person, 2 online) and
• Walter Sisulu University, (2 in-person).
