This template is a slightly improved (in our opinion) version of a fresh Laravel project configured with Jetstream (authentication), Vue 3 (Inertia), and Tailwind CSS.
Jetstream is already set up to give your users a robust authentication system, sans teams.
Vue 3 is set up to be compiled using Vite for lightning-fast compilation times, and is connected to Laravel using Inertia.
Tailwind CSS is compiled using their JIT compiler so you get small development builds and amazing performance during development and in production.
To get started developing, run npm run dev
to boot up the dev server (a requirement in local development for now, we're looking to fix this). To get a production build to deploy, run npm run build
.
To run the project within Docker, run this command to install the environment and then refer to the docs for Laravel Sail.
docker run --rm \
-u "$(id -u):$(id -g)" \
-v $(pwd):/opt \
-w /opt \
laravelsail/php80-composer:latest \
composer install --ignore-platform-reqs
Laravel is a web application framework with expressive, elegant syntax. We believe development must be an enjoyable and creative experience to be truly fulfilling. Laravel takes the pain out of development by easing common tasks used in many web projects, such as:
- Simple, fast routing engine.
- Powerful dependency injection container.
- Multiple back-ends for session and cache storage.
- Expressive, intuitive database ORM.
- Database agnostic schema migrations.
- Robust background job processing.
- Real-time event broadcasting.
Laravel is accessible, powerful, and provides tools required for large, robust applications.
Laravel has the most extensive and thorough documentation and video tutorial library of all modern web application frameworks, making it a breeze to get started with the framework.
If you don't feel like reading, Laracasts can help. Laracasts contains over 1500 video tutorials on a range of topics including Laravel, modern PHP, unit testing, and JavaScript. Boost your skills by digging into our comprehensive video library.
