This course will focus on a small subset of topics in AI and machine learning with code examples and applications. The field of Machine Learning, however, is expanding and exploding at such rapid pace that we are barely scratching the surface. As one of your main assignments for the semester, you will make a 10 minute (with 5 minutes of questions) presentation on a research topic. You will be randomly assigned a partner and should collaborate to make your presentation (work out a way to split up the speaking.) The topic you present on could be any of the following:
- New algorithm or technique developed.
- Art project made with machine learning.
- Framework / library or other open source tool for machine learning.
- Industry / commercial application of machine learning.
- Social / cultural critique of machine learning.
Here is a randomized schedule of partners and presentations. You are welcome to switch dates / partners, just let me know.
