  • new alternate mappings for ट, ठ, ड and ढ : t/ th/ d/ dh/ (Old mapping T Th D Dh can also be used)
  • ण now mapped to n/ (previously N)
  • N and M now map to ं, this produces more natural transliteration, * removed
  • * now maps to ँ (previously ** and ~N)
  • c now maps to क instead of च ie now q, k, c map to क, ch maps to च
• \ produces ्+ZWNJ to force a halanta as in श्रीमान्‌को
• | produces ्+ZWJ as in पर्‍यो
• added mapping for oo for दीर्घ ू ऊ and ee for दीर्घ ी ई
