NPC Traders #365
Conversation
i feel like another idea would be some sort of "syndicate trading beacon" that "emits a secret signal signaling to the synicate that you are a syndicate agent and want access to the syndicate trading station" |
mabey the beacon could also be a cargo/salvage exclusive syndicate purchase. since other departments wont really have ways to get shuttles without arising shuttle fulls of suspiscion |
1.) Maybe give a research that allows cargo to build a Long Range Bounty Terminal that will show all bounties for transports / stations in the area as well as the expected expiry time. 2.) Perhaps have a similar advanced console that will allow the QM to request a merchant ship to dock directly at the station. This can be balanced by having cargo pay a fee for this convenience. 3.) I was thinking of ways to make an innocuous device for getting to the Syndicate Trading station, perhaps have some kind of syndicate Handheld Mass Scanner you can buy with TC that shows the way? |
I think cargo is largely due for a major overhaul and they shouldnt be balanced around their shuttle content so I would probably hold off on this until cargo has more general gameplay and it has content outside of simply having a shuttle and playing taxi with it. |
Im sorry but what? This design doc literally gives cargo more gameplay. Why should it be held off? |
because shuttle content is already overblown and out of scope of the games design, cargo gameplay should be directed more in the direction similar to a mailing office with schedules, on-station mailmen and more. Adding content that just keeps people off the station and only adds to the most controversial part of cargo is not the best way to go. |
Elaborated in the discord |
Thanks to Warpzoned telling me to make this. I just hope I did it correctly.
Proposal for NPC traders to add more variety to cargo gameplay.
