My name is Luuk, and thank you for visiting my sponsor page. In my free time, I enjoy working on projects that truly interest me. Currently, I spend most of my time working on improving the web experience for the Zig ecosystem. This included stand-alone projects, as well as contributing to the Zig project itself. My main focus is on the wasm backend for the compiling. This allows users to gain incremental compilation for wasm, providing the workflow they deserve.

Besides the Zig compiler, I've been working on several libraries/tools to improve the web experience:

• Apple Pie - A HTTP server framework providing support for HTTP 1.0 and 1.1 with later versions planned as well.
• zwld - Linker for wasm object files. This tool has several goals:
  • Link one or several wasm object files, without having to rely on wasm-ld.
  • Create a skeleton that can be merged into Zig's compiler for the wasm backend.
  • Gain a better understanding of the wasm object file format so we can emit a binary that's compliant with other tools.

Besides those projects, I'm also part of the Zigwasm organization, with the goal of bringing wasm runtimes to the Zig ecosystem.

There are several other interesting projects you can find on my profile, but not necessarily have my focal point or deserve to be noted here.

Why sponsor me?
As I mentioned above, all open-source work is done in my free time. I think it's important to have both short-term goals, and long-term goals. My short-term goal would be to gain enough income from sponsors to change my contract from 40h/week to 36h/week. I believe this is a reachable goal, which allows me to spend an entire afternoon every week working on my projects. Not only does this mean I get to spend more time on them, but I can also do them while my mind is fresh, and not after using my brain all day on my day job already.

The endgame goal here is to work full-time on open-source projects, bringing the best possible user experience to the Zig ecosystem for the web.
