Description:

While testing digital payments on WooCommerce 9.8 Beta, the following error message is displayed during checkout:

An error occurred, please try again or try an alternate form of payment."

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Install and activate WooCommerce 9.8 Beta.
  2. Add products to the cart and proceed to checkout.
  3. Attempt to complete the purchase using the configured digital payment method (Cash app, Google pay)
  4. Observe the error message displayed.

Expected Result:

The payment should process successfully, and the order should be completed without any errors.

Actual Result:

The error message appears, and the payment is not processed.

I removed this issue from Helix porter board as #301 does not require Helix's review as of now.
