Setup and Deployment
Deploying a hub can be done with a Graphical Interface of through the [Command Line]
In order to start the hub you must first run a configuration script called vh_gui. In order to execute it you must have dialog utility installed (http://invisible-island.net/dialog/dialog.html). If the previous steps of this manual has been completed successfully then you should be able to run the following script:
vh_gui --install
You will see the following welcome message.
Press Enter button on your keyword to proceed in the next step:
Now you have to provide some information to create database for VerliHub: database name, nickname, password and finally the hostname for MySQL server (it is localhost if you are running MySQL from the same server of the hub). You can move up/down with keyword arrows to select the different fields. Press enter to confirm the information and to go on in the next step.
Setup will now verify if account and database already exist on MySQL server, otherwise they will be created. The installation process will ask you to provide information for administration account.
Now press OK and confirm the data as shown in the above screenshot. If all data are correct, the next step is to specify the VerliHub configuration folder which will contain a configuration file and other files needed to run the hub. This is shown in the following screenshot:
The installation process provides you some locations for VerliHub configuration folder. You can choose one or providing another by selecting the option Other . Remember that you need write permission to create files in that folder, otherwise setup will tell you to choose another path. You can also use an existing config folder and setup will made a backup of any data stored into it (dbconfig, trigger, plugins). The setup in the following step will create database tables and all needed files as shown in the following screenshot:
If all actions complete correctly, the installation process will notice it with the following window:
The final step is to setup a master account (user with class 10) to access the hub and an hostname and a port where you want to run the hub:
Confirm the information you provided and just wait some seconds while script complete the setup.
Installation is now completed!
If you want to install VerliHub from command line or you have not dialog utility installed on you system, you can follow these steps. To start installation run this command from shell:
vh --install
This script will perform same actions of vh_gui but from command line. Now you have to type information to create database for VerliHub: database name, nickname, password and finally the hostname for MySQL server (it is localhost if you are running MySQL from the same server of the hub). Press enter to confirm each information you provide. Then type y to confirm again the information and to go on in the next step.
Setup will now verify if account and database already exist on MySQL server or otherwise they will be created. If they do not exist the installation process will ask you to provide information for administration account.
Now type y to confirm the data as shown in the above screenshot. If all data are correct, the next step is to specify the VerliHub configuration folder which contains a configuration files and other files to run the hub. This is shown in the following screenshot:

You can choose a folder guessed by the installer or providing another path by choosing the option Other, choose path where to put config file. Remember that you need write permission to create files in that folder, otherwise setup will tell you to choose another path. You can also use an existing config folder and setup will made a backup of any data stored into it (dbconfig, trigger, plugins). Type y to confirm your choice and in the following step the setup will create database tables and all needed files.

Installation is now completed!
