1877: Stockholm Tramways borrows many rules from 1862 and 18Ireland.

From 1862 it borrows:

  • No private companies.
  • Players can not go bankrupt.
  • Not all corporations are available at the start of the game.
  • Corporations are started via auction.
  • A share may not be sold in the same stock round as it was bought.
  • Each revenue location may only be counted once.
  • Mergers, including how the new stock price is calculated and how shares are traded.
  • The game ends via reaching the maximum stock price or at the end of the OR set after the OR set when the first 10H train is bought.
  • In the final OR set corporations can only run trains and pay dividends.

From 18Ireland it borrows:

  • Hex trains
  • Merging with corporations of other players.

It also features the following unique rules:

  • The president of a newly merged corporation may buy shares of it for half their price.
  • When the game end is triggered, each trainless corporation may buy trains.

The color of a corporation's home station location indicates in which phase it becomes available.
